Welcome to the Health Professional Student Research Office! Student research is a vital component of the educational mission of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). Students in the regular MD curriculum are encouraged to consider research as an integral part of their medical training and future careers.
Shapiro 2020 Updates
- The 2020 Shapiro Summer Research Program will be held and participating students will receive stipends.
- Significant flexibility will be allotted to students and mentors to modify planned research and allow for relevant virtual scholarship to replace their original proposed projects.
- The Office of Health Professional Student Research will put several virtual resources in place to support students and mentors.
- Mentors and students, please communicate with each other regarding revised projects and expectations in the summer.
